Dear ##firstname##,
Bradfield Cricket Club are launching a fundraising campaign to build two permanent outdoor nets at the club.
Now the clubhouse is completed and paid off - we are committed to further improving our facilities for members. Therefore we have had a quote and looked at getting two permanent fixed Cricket net lanes, with the astroturf type surface underfoot. This is planned to be in place for the start of the 2017 season, which gives us the rest of the year to raise the money. The benefits to this are endless as far as the Cricket club are concerned.
The cost of this will be around £50,000 in total for the full two lanes, with a fenced perimeter. The difference in cost between one and two lanes means it is a no-brainer to go the full distance and go for the best option.
We need your help.
£50,000 is a lot of money, however through fundraising, grants etc.. this can be done, as we have proved in the past.
Please help - we are looking for ideas from members around fundraising we can do, any idea - big or small will be appreciated. The club will give you the support to run with the idea, and make it happen.
England V Russia - Launch Night
We are having a launch night on Saturday June 11th at the Cricket Club. After the senior games have finished (around 6pm) there will be a BBQ, and the England-Russia game will be on inside the clubhouse from 8pm. There are bar offers amongst other things going on, as we look to kickstart the fundraising. We will also be doing a Bradfield Euro 2016 sweepstake. Entries will be £10 per team, with £100 going to the winner, £20 to the runner up and the club putting £120 towards the net fund. If we have enough we can run more than one sweepstake - again contact me if you are interested. We are also looking at the potential of doing a raffle that evening, so if anybody has any prizes that they would like to donate please let me know.
Matched Work Funding
Many corporate companies do some schemes of local fundraising/matched fundings. For example Vodafone have made several donations through employees who are members of the club when we have fundraising events. Please enquire at your work if this is an option which would help the club raise money towards the funding of the nets.
To finish -This is something that will benefit the whole club and we need as many people as possible to get behind the fundraising, if you know of any events, ideas etc.. then please get in touch. We have something like 200 members of the club, if all 200 could get behind this it should be easy to complete this. If it is left to a few then it makes it much more time consuming and difficult. Please help if you can.
Kind Regards,
Jack Byrne
