Quick update for everyone on some progress this week away from the cricket field :
Wine quiz - sponsored by Laithwaite's
We held a summer wine quiz on Friday night. Laithwaite's very kindly sponsored the evening, which meant that we raised over £400 for the club, net of food costs.
Many thanks again to Len and Alex from Laithwaite's who ran the quiz, to Dougie & Jack for running the kitchen and Ian for manning the bar. Thanks also to the members who supported this event.
The next quiz night will be on a Saturday night to make it easier for members to bring their friends along.
Car wash
Conrad and Tim were the only car washers this month - luckily the demand from visitors to the village hall market was also down. Another £40 was raised for the club.
