Dear Members and Friends of Bradfield Cricket Club,

What a fantastic day we had celebrating President's Day at the club! The sun smiled on us, the spirits were high, and in true Bradfield fashion, camaraderie and sportsmanship lit up the field. The Bradfield President's XI secured a memorable win over the Bradfield Sunday XI, with none other than the President himself at the crease when the winning runs were scored—a fitting and joyous finale!
It was wonderful to welcome familiar faces, cherished associate members, and longtime supporters who’ve shaped our club over the years, both on and off the pitch. The laughter, shared stories, and collective pride made for a truly special gathering.

Earlier in the day, our Under 13s showcased an incredible display of talent with a commanding victory—an inspiring performance from the next generation of Bradfield cricketers. It was lovely to speak with their parents, many of whom shared plans for their children to stay on in the Under 13s or progress to our Under 15 team next season. The future looks bright indeed.

We also had an important announcement during the day: after seven years of dedicated service, our Head Groundsman will be stepping down at the end of this season. His contribution has been invaluable, and he leaves big shoes to fill. The club is now actively exploring options to appoint a successor, whether from within our community or by seeking external candidates.
As always, we turn to you—our members—for your ideas, connections, and recommendations. If you know someone who could rise to this role, or if you yourself are interested, please reach out. Your input will help us ensure our grounds continue to be a place we’re proud of.

Thank you for making President's Day such a success. Here's to many more shared memories at Bradfield Cricket Club.

Warmest Regards

Dave Balkissoon
