First Treble for Bradfield since August 2010

Everybody probably already knows this but good to have some success.  The first time all three Bradfield senior sides have won on the same weekend since August 28th/29th 2010.   Going into the press.. 

"All three Bradfield senior sides won on the same weekend for the first time since August 2010.  Winless Bradfield 1st XI hosted table toping, unbeaten, Berkshire County Sports at the BCG on Saturday afternoon.  BCS won the toss and asked Bradfield to bat first, after losing Stebbings early on Paul Armstrong & Will Nevill put on 62 for the second wicket before falling in quick succession.  A flurry of wickets left Bradfield strugging at 103-6 before Will Banks and Alastair Borthwick added 53 for the seventh wicket as Bradfield made their way to a slightly below par 168 all out.  Taking the old ball, Bradfield struck early through Ian Bliss before Nick Goodwin (4-48) and Jack Byrne (3-48) ran through the BCS middle order to leave them 149-8 - however both had bowled out with BCS still needing 19 runs.  It was left to a run out from Stebbings to win the game for Bradfield by three runs in a thrilling finish. 

Promotion chasing Bradfield 2nd XI moved into the promotion spots with a 52 run win over Waltham St Lawrence. 62 from Tim Wilson and an unbeaten 72 from skipper Richard Stansfield saw Bradfield reach a huge 244-8 from their 45 overs.  Three early wickets from John Bargent (3-34) left WSL 25-3 and struggling, but WSL recovered and it took youngster Alex Bartlett on his 2nd XI debut to remove the dangerous Stuart Nock to open the door for Bradfield. Bradfield kept taking wickets but Ritchie Lafford (3-20) removed Khan for 63 swung the game finally for Bradfield and he took the final wicket with just four overs remaining to move Bradfield up to 2nd place.

On Sunday, Bradfield Sunday XI beat Wanderers XI by 6 wickets, after bowling Wanderers out for 142 with wickets for Bargent, Mike Goodwin and Reekie, contributions from James Fox, Tim Atkinson, Mike Goodwin & skipper Chris Jones saw Bradfield comfortably over the line to complete three wins out of three and a great weekend for Bradfield."
